Discipleship

Discipleship

As Christians, we are called to become Disciples of Jesus. Discipleship is the process of embracing the life and ethic of Jesus Christ because of the hope laid out in the Gospel.

St. Paul implores us Christians to…. “not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

At St. Mark’s, we offer opportunities for study and sharing in groups so that everyone can be helped in their discipleship no matter where they are along their journey of discovery. Our last offering was a course called ‘LIVING FAITH’ which was a year long programme keyed into the Church’s calendar. We have joined with brothers and sisters from St. Margaret’s (Wolstanton), St. Andrew’s (Porthill) and St. Barnabas (Bradwell) so as to enrich the experience of study and increase and vary our resources to deliver the programme. For the spring of 2018, we are likely to follow this course with some 6-week modules from the ‘PILGRIM’ series which has been offered before and were popular.

Do contact us if you would like to know more or join our group at any point in 2018.
