Welcome To St. Marks Church
St. Mark’s is the Anglican Parish Church for the Parish of Basford in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire.
The parish comprises areas of the City of Stoke-on-Trent and the Borough of Newcastle-under-Lyme; it is part of the Deanery of Newcastle which in turn belongs to the Diocese of Lichfield.
St. Mark’s is of a central Anglican tradition and uses a mixture of Common Worship and the Book of Common Prayer in its public worship. The present average weekly congregation numbers about 60 people who contribute to the church’s active life.
A contemporary service is offered on 3rd Sunday of each month, which is an all-age, baptism service. The photo of the church nave is by courtesy of: scott@scottsharman.com.
